Waukon Adventure Race, July 21 @ 9:00am

Get ready for the WAUKON ADVENTURE RACE Saturday, July 21 at 9:00am!!! Get ready to use your physical and mental capabilities to win this fun race!! It’s a scavenger hunt, with all the thrills of the amazing race, mixed with trivial pursuit, throw in a mini road race and VOILLA!, you’ve got yourself the Waukon Adventure Race!

General Rules: This is a team race consisting of 2-4 people per team, $10 per team, each team will start with a mini scavenger hunt in and around the Allamakee County Fairgrounds. Teams will be given a list of 10 items that can be found on the fairgrounds and will need to return to the checkpoint with 5 items. Teams will then be given a list of 7 clues. You will have to decode the clues to find your 7 additional checkpoints around the city of Waukon. Once you have made it to all 7 locations you will race back to the fairgrounds. The first 2 teams to check in are crowned the adventure race winners! (route is approximately 3-3.5 miles in length)

ALL PARTICIPANTS NO MATTER WHAT AGE NEED SIGNED WAIVERS!!

You can stop in any time and get waivers signed to be ready to climb starting the 19th. 17 & under must be signed by a parent/guardian.

Open Belay time staffed by WWC Rock Wall Certified Staff:

Monday: 4pm-6pm

Tuesday: 5pm-8pm

Wednesday: 4pm-6pm

Thursday: 5pm-8pm

These are times you can come and enjoy a little help from our certified staff. You can climb at other times following our policies. The times above are only times we will have a staffed wall.

Belay Classes to become certified to belay on your own (16 years & older) will be offered the following dates:

Wednesday, March 21 from 4:00pm-6:00pm

Friday, March 23 from 3:00pm-5:00pm

Saturday, March 24 from 7:15am-9:15am

Wednesday, March 28 from 4:00pm-6:00pm

Friday, March 30 from 3:00pm-5:00pm

Saturday, March 31 from 7:15am-9:15pm

Only 6 people are allowed in a class, so sign up early. There is a $10 fee which will need to be paid to order to have your name on the list. All Belay Certification classes will be taught by Dani Bucknell. You must be 16 to sign up.
